Admission Requirements
You must meet the minimum educational requirements for the program option you are applying for. These educational requirements should have preferably been obtained within the last five years. Contact admissions if you have questions.
Educational requirements
Education completed outside Canada
If you are a permanent resident of Canada or a Canadian citizen but did not complete your high school or post-secondary education in Canada, you will need complete the following prior to applying for the RT Diploma:
- TOEFL, IELTS or the Language Proficiency test (see TRU's English Language Proficiency Requirements for Academic Study).
Requirements upon acceptance which are due by Aug. 31
- Attendance at a program information session is mandatory. Contact Program Assistant to register.
- A valid CPR-C with AED certificate must be provided by first year students. BLS is required for Fast Track students.
- Criminal Record Check (CRC).*
- TRU Immunization forms.*
*These will be emailed to you by the respiratory therapy program assistant.
All faculty, staff, and students are warmly invited to attend SUPER 2026, our annual showcase of undergraduate research in the Faculty of Science.Join us to explore research ideas and opportunities and to support our student researchers as they share the results of their research. Science students from all areas of Science will be presenting posters from projects completed through Honours, Directed Studies, Undergraduate Research Experience Award Program (UREAP), and other research programs.

SUPER is designed to inspire early-year science students by highlighting what senior students have achieved. First, second, and third-year Science students are encouraged to come discover the many research opportunities available to them throughout their degree.
