Fast Track Stream

If you already have completed 27 post-secondary credits and would like accelerated access by directly entering the second year of the RT Diploma, the fast-track option could be for you.

In the fast-track option, you will directly enter year two of the diploma program after successfully completing three online courses over the summer, as well as a medical terminology course. *Fast-track applicants wishing to get a head start may complete HLTH 2511 after application, however doing so does NOT guarantee a fast-track seat offer. 

There are six courses per semester in the first year. From September to October, as a fast-track student, you will have additional labs to complete—equaling an extra three to four hours per week. These labs are related to the distance RESP 1781 course and are usually completed by the beginning of November.

The clinical internship is completed in your final—or second—year.

All faculty, staff, and students are warmly invited to attend SUPER 2026, our annual showcase of undergraduate research in the Faculty of Science.

Join us to explore research ideas and opportunities and to support our student researchers as they share the results of their research. Science students from all areas of Science will be presenting posters from projects completed through Honours, Directed Studies, Undergraduate Research Experience Award Program (UREAP), and other research programs.

SUPER is designed to inspire early-year science students by highlighting what senior students have achieved. First, second, and third-year Science students are encouraged to come discover the many research opportunities available to them throughout their degree.
