The international student application deadline is January 15, 2026

The domestic student application deadline is May 15, 2026.

  • Seats are limited, so you are encouraged to apply early.
  • We process applications on an ongoing basis and will stop accepting applications when all seats are filled.
  • International students should allow sufficient time for visa and study permit processing.
Admission Requirements:
  • Acceptable three-year or four-year undergraduate degree in any discipline with a minimum B average (GPA of 3.00 on a scale of 4.33 or local equivalent) in the last 60 credits.
  • Official academic transcript(s) from all prior post-secondary institutions attended — sent directly to Thompson Rivers University from the institution.
  • Applicants who did not complete their undergraduate degree at an English language university in a country where English is the primary language should have:
    • A minimum TOEFL score of 570 with a TWE of 4.5 or higher (paper-based test), or a minimum score of 88 with no section below 20 (IBT), or
    • A minimum IELTS score of at least 6.5 (with no band below 6.0), or
    • Completion of TRU ENGL 1100 and CMNS 1290 with a minimum grade B
Tuition Fees:
  • Domestic Tuition: $155.59 per credit
  • International Tuition: $666.50 per credit

All faculty, staff, and students are warmly invited to attend SUPER 2026, our annual showcase of undergraduate research in the Faculty of Science.

Join us to explore research ideas and opportunities and to support our student researchers as they share the results of their research. Science students from all areas of Science will be presenting posters from projects completed through Honours, Directed Studies, Undergraduate Research Experience Award Program (UREAP), and other research programs.

SUPER is designed to inspire early-year science students by highlighting what senior students have achieved. First, second, and third-year Science students are encouraged to come discover the many research opportunities available to them throughout their degree.
